About Storm:
Born Ororo Munroe to a tribal princess of Kenya and an African-American photojournalist father, Storm is raised in Harlem, New York City, United States and Cairo, Egypt. Storm is a member of the X-Men, a group of mutant heroes fighting for peace and equal rights between mutants and humans. Storm has led the X-Men at times and has been a member of teams such as the Avengers and Fantastic Four. Storm was also married to childhood sweetheart and fellow superhero Black Panther, the ruler of the fictional African nation of Wakanda. Munroe was made Queen Consort through the marriage but lost the title when the two divorced.
About the Creation:
Number one in a multi-print poster series featuring the strong young women of the X-Men as members of a roller derby team. "Storm was one of the first heroes I drew in my series of ‘roller derby’ X-Men, celebrating the strong women from one of my favorite series. She was one of my favorite characters. After Storm, I started thinking about what an alignment of prints might look like in a series and so I went on to create Jean Grey, Rogue and Dazzler.” – Francine Delgado

Fran(cine) Delgado is a Costa Rican-born artist (Pura Vida!) now living in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Skilled in many aspects of design, her most recognized fan artworks include the female heroes from X-Men: Evolution and her on-screen illustration work include The Addams Family, Monster High, and Megaman.
