About the Beauty and the Beast:
A young prince full of pride (Robby Benson) and the residents of his castle face a curse from a powerful enchantress, transforming him into the ugly Beast until he is capable of accepting and expressing love. To free her father (Rex Everhart), the brave and willful Belle (Paige O'Hara) willingly ventures into the Beast's castle. With help from his magically animated servants, such as the benevolent Mrs. Potts (Angela Lansbury), Belle sets out to soften the Beast's cold heart.
About the Creation:
I was honored to begin my animation career with such a celebrated Disney production, and was later asked to commemorate the fan-favorite moment. The original was signed by Robby Benson and Paige O’Hara and was auctioned off. With this piece, I sought to capture the sentiment of the Beast and Belle during their transcendent waltz, when they sense and accept their emotions yet still keep them hidden from one another. - Steven Ahola

Steven Ahola is an accomplished animator, illustrator, writer, and director now creating comic book covers for Dynamite, IDW, and Mad Cave Studios.
