About Thundercats:
ThunderCats is a classic animated fantasy franchise featuring a heroic group of cat-like humanoid warriors who flee their dying home world of Thundera and find refuge on Third Earth.

Originally airing from 1985 to 1989, the animated series was co-produced by Rankin/Bass Productions and animated by the Japanese studio Pacific Animation Corporation. Like Masters of the Universe, ThunderCats became a defining 1980s franchise, launching alongside a popular action figure line and syndicated after-school cartoon.

Story Description: 
Fleeing through space to escape their dying home world, the ThunderCats are attacked by their mortal enemies, the Mutants of Plun-Darr.

After diverting their damaged flagship to a planet called Third Earth, the surviving ThunderCats must rebuild their society while protecting their powerful mystical gem, the Eye of Thundera.

But the Mutants have followed them — and they have formed a dangerous alliance with Mumm-Ra, the Ever-Living, the ancient devil-priest of Third Earth.

Led by the young and inexperienced Lion-O, the ThunderCats must band together as never before to protect their legacy, their people, and the power of Thundera itself.
