About The Disputed:
The Disputed Territory started with a map. A few years ago, I decided to hand draw a map of the Republic of Texas. After months of research it was obvious there wasn't a clear precise version. However, one thing was consistent... an area named the disputed territory.

This led down a path of history, and a decision that one day I would do something more with this little documented name on the map. It wasn't until the map was completed that the first idea for this story came to be. The collaboration that followed. is where the story took off. A long list of collaborators have helped take this from a map to an ongoing series.

Story Description:
Jack is a complex figure, a man caught between two worlds—the gritty, unforgiving landscape of the Old West and the ethereal, mystical realm he accesses through whiskey. He grapples with a dual identity, embodying both the rugged, resourceful outlaw and the tormented soul seeking redemption.

About the Artist:
John Hebert, born in New York State is a Marvel alumnus whose earliest canvas was the walls of his family home. At age four, he sketched his vision for how TV’s Batman and Robin (Adam West and Burt Ward) would escape from The Penguin (Burgess Meredith).

At the insistence of his mother, John’s media transitioned to pencil and paper where his talents accelerated, accepting a job to draw his first comic book just 2 days before his graduation from art school... John’s most recognized work includes the Punisher: War Zone, X-Men Adventures, Deathlok, Captain America, Spider-Man, Sable, and Jonny Quest.
