About G.I. Joe:
G.I. Joe is an American media franchise created by Hasbro, featuring an elite military team combating the terrorist organization COBRA. Launched in 1964 as action figures, it gained massive popularity in the 1980s with the tagline "A Real American Hero" and expanded into comics, animated series, and films. Iconic characters like Duke, Snake Eyes, and Scarlett battle COBRA leaders such as Cobra Commander and Destro. Known for its themes of teamwork and heroism, G.I. Joe remains a beloved pop culture staple.
Story Description:
THE FATE OF COBRA COMMANDER! Destro plots revenge against the man who injured the one woman he loves...but other enemies may not be far behind.
About the Artist:
John Hebert, born in New York State is a Marvel alumnus whose earliest canvas was the walls of his family home. At age four, he sketched his vision for how TV’s Batman and Robin (Adam West and Burt Ward) would escape from The Penguin (Burgess Meredith).
At the insistence of his mother, John’s media transitioned to pencil and paper where his talents accelerated, accepting a job to draw his first comic book just 2 days before his graduation from art school... John’s most recognized work includes the Punisher: War Zone, X-Men Adventures, Deathlok, Captain America, Spider-Man, Sable, and Jonny Quest.
