About Redwall:
Produced by Canadian studio Nelvana, in collaboration with Alphanim of France (season 1) and TV-Loonland AG of Germany (season 2-3), the animated television show "Redwall" is based on the eponymous novels of author Brian Jacques. Set in a medieval period, the story follows the escapades of animal protagonists, chiefly Matthias the mouse, as they battle against villains and swords. Season two, Mattimeo, focuses on Matthias' son in the lead role.
Story Description:
"Redwall" Season 2 continues the adventures of the brave inhabitants of Redwall Abbey. Based on the beloved novels by Brian Jacques, this season focuses on the story of "Mattimeo." Matthias, the warrior of Redwall, faces a new challenge when his young son, Mattimeo, is kidnapped by the villainous Slagar the Cruel. Along with a group of loyal friends, Matthias embarks on a perilous quest to rescue the stolen children. Meanwhile, Redwall Abbey must defend itself against threats in their absence. This season delves into themes of bravery, friendship, and the enduring fight between good and evil as the characters strive to bring peace back to their home.
