“Your hunger for battle is a disease--and the hammer of Thor shall supply the cure!”
An artist exclusive cover recreation from Marvel artist John Hebert, reimagining the cover of Thor Vol. 1 #126 - Whom The Gods Would Destroy.
The original publication was shared in March 1966, with cover art by Jack Kirby and inker Vince Colletta. The iconic image of the two heroes in battle was based on the story arc of the two proud warriors locked in battle over Jane Foster.
“This looked to me like a classic heavyweight fight and I wanted to take it over the top. Muscles on muscles, locked in battle with a real Wrestlemania title fight vibe.” - John Hebert
