Ariel (Jodi Benson), a rebellious 16-year-old mermaid, longs for life on land. During a forbidden visit, she falls for a human prince. To be with her love, she bargains with Ursula the sea witch (Pat Carroll) to become human for three days. When their plans are thwarted, King Triton must make a great sacrifice.
